Thorny shit seems like the ideal use case scenario for tubeless. Last weekend I turned off a main road onto a gravel farm track where the farmer had obviously been out cutting the hedges recently, within one or two hundred metres I probably picked up 15-20 little cuttings in my tyres, all sealed up immediately upon removal.
It can be a fucking shitemare but it can also work brilliantly.

I don't know if this helps, but I setup some Sawtooths tubeless yesterday on a bit of a whim. Boshed out 85 miles today and they feel like different tyres. More comfortable and seem to roll a lot nicer.
No hassle setting up, no issues on the ride other than the usual loss whilst it all settles.
After one ride I'm a convert. I have had to order a load of bits though for repairs etc to carry just in case.
I got 3 punctures from 3 separate, tiny thorns which I'm almost certain could have been avoided if I wasn't using tubes. Can someone please bully me in to getting round to setting my bike up tubeless? Thanks.
