Adductor Tendinitis update
It’s still there, if I sprint or run uphill it’s brutal after I run and pretty painful during the run.
Running slower and with shorter strides is less painful.
I think that’s it to be honest, it’s not going away. I can’t see me ever not having it from now on. Rehab exercises help a bit, gobbling ibuprofen helps a bit, riding a bike helps a bit .

I've also had good experiences with an Ultimate Direction Fastpack, which holds a little more than the Deuter, but they've got pretty expensive now.

Why do I feel that I've read this story before?

Ha - that's bonkers. I should probably do bushy one day - it's a 15 minute warm up run away.

Does anyone have a treadmill for sale? It's for my girlfriend but I'm kind of tempted to use it to get some zwift badges too.

The puma nitros are fairly discounted on ASOS and seem to receive solid reviews.
I really wanted to try the superblast 2 but it’s sold out so will give the novablast a go
The metcons aren’t for running
-
• #30710
the less said about the Metcon design the better
really liked Novablast 3 for anything up to tempo. not race day shoes, but they do tick over very
nicely -
• #30711
you dont like the metcons? I thought they would make me look super hyrox? :P
-
• #30712
I wanted something that is just a comfy easy shoe (asics) and something that I don't mind wearing through winter (puma £67 and decent amount of rubber on the sole).

• #30713
Nah, Hyrox is a running race - topless and Puma Nitro's is de rigueur
(it's proper silly fun however. would honestly recommend)

Thanks for posting this - I’ve been looking for a runcommute bag and just got a Phantom 12 from there for a steal.

Saw this in the thread and find myself liking the idea of running commuting for work when its reasonable distances. Like 2-3 miles as I'm old and lazy.
Now ive fallen down the rabbit hole of not only running backpacks for this but also the ReOmm website for some decent camping stuff for on my bike.

I scored some Pumas for £50 and Adidas for £26 at the weekend. Pumas are great, Adidas not so sure...

The SB2 is back in stock on the ASICS website.
Nothing special if you ask me. Very expensive though.

Stupidly signed to the London Marathon ballot and lucky enough to get in, so now need to do the training.
The running is actually going well but the knees aren’t… so would like to do some running analysis to improve my technique and hopefully ease the likelihood of some pain.
Anyone got any recommendations of one around London?

Yeah, they don't have size 13. I'm gonna give the novablast a go and see how I get on with those.

I've got one for the group which might be better in the medical questions thread:
Went for a couple of fairly easy runs over the weekend, some of which 3-4km was along a coastal path but nothing wild and then in the day playing on the beach. I woke up with a pain in my right toe on Monday morning. I went to the gym and did an upper body workout and 30mins z2 ride. Tuesday morning toe was super painful, spoke with phone gp and they said it could be gout or a ligament damage. prescribed Naproxen. Tuesday night woke a couple of times due to the pain. Wednesday went to doctor. Said she thought it might be a fracture but could also be gout. Went for xray and blood tests. Pain has been less bad last 2 days but still very sore. xray confirmed no fracture and blood work came back normal. So could I have ligament damage that would only impact the right big toe? Cant really bend it and it is swollen. thoughts on a postcard plz...

I had something similar with my big toe a couple of years ago, I can't remember exactly what the eventual diagnosis was but I do remember having an ultrasound on my foot and saying "doc, is my foot pregnant??" and the doctor being extremely unimpressed.
I'll try to dig through old emails and stuff to find out what it was. -

So cross at Altra for this shoddy quality. This pair of shoes is like 350km-young, in really good nick – aside from this catastrophic structural blowout, which causes blisters in addition to being shit.
Submitted a warranty claim to the German seller (Bergfreunde), paid back in full a week later. Success!
+1 Omm, I used their 20l bag for run commute for many years, should fit a laptop nicely.
