Shorty cargo will for sure do more then an mtb with a rack. The mini cargos are getting more and more popular (EX: muli, yoonit, omnium, UA, R&M etc) I want to get some sort of shorty after my kid outgrows the UA family.
This absolutely mad one is for sale in germany: https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/bullitt-shorty-pinion-p18/2854877234-217-4823

The Bullitt shorties look like loads (pun intended) of fun - and if anyone can properly mod one it would be you.
The others (I'm pretty sure) are factory made for United Cargobike in Germany, who also offer a version with Pinion Gearbox.
My Bullitt isn't selling so I'm thinking about keeping it and making it shorter - for storage purposes - I don't need such a large space either. I see they made a couple that are 25cm shorter....and another company has made a few.... has anyone tried a shortly one?
Cutting 30cm from the loading bay will help with storing the bike and still keeps a low loading bay - albeit smaller
child will go on the back, tent and stuff on the front.
... or is that dumb, if an old 26" mtb and front panniers will probably do a similar job and weight distribution?
