Priti fallen.

Fuck me, if the Tories really thing Jenrick is the answer to their problems, then they're in a worse state than I thought.
-
• #8954
I think you could broaden this to cover any of the four remaining candidates. But then we knew they were going to be scraping the bottom of the barrel before this contest began.
-
• #8955
Even better news is that their party conference won't be in Manchester this year.
-
• #8956
You say that, but when looking for alternatives, which turd would actually leave less shit on the bowl?
-
• #8957
Off to Clacton?
-
• #8958
Birmingham I think.
-
• #8959
Honestly, Tugendhat, Stride or even Cleverly would be better, if you’re interested in having a functioning opposition.
-
• #8960
Oh I'm interested but there's no way any of the names you mentioned are capable of that.
-
• #8961
Those are the available options. I didn’t say they’d be any good, but they’d be better than Jenrick or Badenoch.
-
• #8962
they’d be better than Jenrick or Badenoch.
but not much. i can't see any mileage in any of them.
hopefully it'll be an extended implosion.

None of the 6, sorry 5, have the personality to keep the unravelling threads of the dying Tory party a cohesive whole. I doubt any 'winner' of this years Tory leadership will survivie to fight a General Election. We are in a for a (t least a) repeat of the Hague/IDS/Howard Three Stooges.
The Tory membership wants to merge with Reform.
Lord Faw Faws dancing partner has just been rejected by the laughably few remaining Tory MPs.Starmer should bring in Proportional Representation, accept that 10-15% of the UK population is irredeemably anti-immigrant, and allow the One Nation Tories to erect a cordon sanitaire between themselves and Farage, and contribute to reasonable government from slightly right of centre.

Fingers crossed for tugenhat to win. Lose an election then fuck off from politics. I get the feeling that this is his only career option though
-
• #8965
Fuck me, if the Tories really thing Jenrick is the answer to their problems, then they're in a worse state than I thought.
I guess you've missed the last few answers they've put forward to their problems?

As the token Lufguss Spectator subscriber, they have KB as a done deal. Just enough support within the MPs and a roaring favourite with the members.
A black immigrant woman for the centrist dads to indulge their iddiest selves with on the socials. -

Priti Patel took a £70k campaign donation from the wife of the Russian foreign minister who also paid £160k to play tennis with Boris.
-
• #8968
I don't think it's that expensive trying to influence people who work in the same building as you
-
• #8969
I can honestly see Boris coming back at this rate.
-
• #8970
70k bung and still didn't get through round 1. They would have been better off giving 5k to 15 wavering Tory MPs.
-
• #8971
Doesn't help for rounds 2, 3 and 4 though...
-
• #8972
I can't. With the war, most of the Russian-linked Tories have massively lost influence, as Putin has shown his hand. I don't know what Badenoch's status is in that respect.

A black immigrant woman
Kemi Badenoch isn’t an immigrant, she was born in England.
