Aw thanks for all the nice words and pics ☺️

The Mini is quite a bit larger, if you have a reasonably compact kitchen as I do then the Micra is a better choice.

My Philos yearning is real.
Does anyone want to buy my Niche Zero, black, ~3y old, used for 1 or 2 espressos a day. With box.
10% cheaper than eBay sold prices which suggests ~£360? -

Ugh, I don't want to think about espresso machines too much as it's not going to happen anytime soon.
But we want to get a new sideboard that I already declared as my future coffee space 😎 -

Would anyone be interested in a Wilfa Svart for £25? The lid of the grounds box(??) is broken, but the grinder itself works totally fine.
As someone said a couple of pages ago, it's not an amazing grinder (switching to an 1zpresso K-max was a big upgrade), but it is a pretty decent entry level grinder.

This is not helping my relationship with my Svart.

You’ll get through it. I made up with my Moccamaster and now we’re very happy.

Any valid codes kicking around for forum recommended beans?

forum discount for yellow bourbon coffee roasters still works.

doaskid at checkout.

No discount code, I got some beans from Bohee though week pretty sure they're these, https://www.bohee.coffee/products/rwanda-anaerobic-fermentation
They're mighty good. New roaster to me.

Thanks, worked a treat and looking forward to trying 'Ethiopia Koke Washed Process' !

I just got chased for ups for the rest of the fee. Turns out all I had paid was the COD cost. We paid exactly the same.

My Mahlkonig Vario grinder has died so looking for a replacement. Ideally want something that is very simple and doesn't require much maintenance. It's primarily for espresso and to be paired with a rancilio silvia.
Budget around £200. What would you buy?

Was this to Singapore, by any chance..?
@jakemcree I am a big fan of the Sette which I think you can get secondhand under 200. No WDT needed (depending on how fastidious you are) and very little retention so fuss free; does need replacing a gearbox once every few years which ran me to 65quid.. but opening it up once in four years of daily use (plus that means new upper burr carrier) is an ok cost to me for something that is nearly as good as the Niche for a lot less.

Nope, UK- my parents house. Mazer won’t send to Singapore (as far as I could see).

Ah whew. Getting something delivered to Sg and was worrying that customs had gone up significantly..

Bought a DF54 recently, and happy with it. Baratza Encore ESP is another popular option.
-
• #27573
I think the Niche is a a little bit better than this review would suggest vs a Sette but they do also tend to hold their price more. So unless you could stretch to that then 2nd that a hand Sette would be a good option @jakemcree

• #27574
Nah, not that you’d know that from the Singapore markup that gets applied to everything mind you.

Just checking you guys are talking about this one right? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Baratza-Sette-Coffee-Grinder-Electric/dp/B0B9YDZP82/ref=sr_1_5?crid=1DFWFZR5AIO8R&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.WcUJMe-oQe4qEsCtK2i2P5vJ6u3x4XLf8vpLRX-UtmYbdesO4lwDNBozeAx5bauNgvVBrZ5snuTbfnNbid8zSCPcl_NEphuKddvYtbtPbovHMyHT3_s31I0Q912-ypSK._UsWbUNfzbu4NMjdGMeBCLzXsa0B4s42gflzMv5Mrr4&dib_tag=se&keywords=sette%2Bgrinder&qid=1725895198&sprefix=sette%2Bgrinder%2Caps%2C84&sr=8-5&th=1
Haha, it looks like evolution stages of the Niche!
I hope I will also own a Micra one day. Maybe even a Mini but that one seems rather unpractical for 2-3 espressos a day
