  • Vitoria Corsa N.EXT or Corsa Control? This is for the slightly less than ideal riding conditions - chipseal, rain, cobbles, autumnal leaves... Looking at 28-30mm, tubeless, and high probability of running their air liners/foam.

I'm being a bit of a snob and sticking to Vittoria - for both good (air liner) but also pointless reasons (Italian bikes).

BRR shows the two are very evenly matched, with the Controls having more of a tread pattern on the edges, while the N.EXT are lighter. Condor are selling the Controls at a price I wouldn't mind paying (£37).

  • I liked the controls a lot for that kind of riding, they are pretty grippy in autumnal conditions. My only gripe is that they wear pretty quickly, i.e. the rear started puncturing a lot after about 3-3.5k kilometres.

  • Ah, that's often the case. There's a possibility then that if the Controls are thicker, heavier by a tiny amount, the N.EXT might wear even faster. I wonder what the next option be? The latest gen Rubinos don't favour too well.
