It does make sense if you want to change tuning regularly. The acoustic I’m failing to refinish will live in C standard

I listen to a lot of stoner rock/metal.
As I’m a beginner I want to keep my strat in E standard so lessons make sense but the songs I want to learn for practice etc are almost all downtuned.
Got my eye on a basic squier strat for cheap down the road from me..

IME definitely worth having two guitars in this scenario. I have one I keep in C standard which has Not Even Slinky’s on, no way I could shift it back up to D or E without changing the strings and truss rod settings
