Battery lock is stuck, turning the key doesn't move the catch far enough (wear I presume) to remove the battery.

As an aside is it possible the lock position has moved? There is a little adjustment in mounting position, might be worth checking before replacing everything.

Nope, the issue is inside the lock barrel. With the key it only moves the catch half the distance as pushing it manually.

And you’ve tried lubricating it?
