I really don't understand this fascination with massive sports hall style living dining rooms, this was designed by a fairly well regarded practice and whilst not terribly decorated basically has 1 living room...

Imagine paying 3 mill for a house and still having to listen to the dishwasher when watching TV in the living room

My wife wants us to knock through the kitchen/diner into the living room, but I like having the living room separate and snug. The kitchen/diner already connects to the conservatory with a double and a single door so has plenty of light/space.

yeah that is quite odd considering 6 bedrooms + study; some sort of tv room/snug would have been decent

A well known person has recently bought this house near where I grew up.
The setting is quite nice, but I've not seen many worse interiors. Do you think it could be redeemed, or is it irretrieveably bad?
