18 months ago, we had loads of issues with our boiler. Turns out the pipes and the boiler were filled with flakes of iron rust. our gas bloke said it has to come from the service pipes as none of the pipe in our property are iron. Those pipes are the property of the distribution network, SGN.
Contact SGN and tell them, I'm not after compensation per se (Even though I'm £500 down), but rather I'd prefer it not to happen again. They send an engineer out asp, e.g. within hours and he looks at it all and says its nothing to do with them guv.
Fast forward to today and SGN are literally digging up and replacing all the iron pipes in our road and surrounding roads, including all the service pipe to our houses.
