Also makes the side profile of the tube larger so they can print their name bigger ;)

I didn’t design it! But yeh you’d think so
I was mainly drawn to the colour -

I'm sure someone once told be that Mike Burrows told them that that was the real reason for large downtubes.

Only 2
LOOK LOGOS ?
Is this a sotto voce Ltd Ed?

Why did you have to post that PreCursa? I’m now trying to justify a bike that is basically the same as 5 bike I already own. Damn you all!!
-
• #2833
Why is that? What do you like about it?

The pc I’ve got is getting a bit tatty and I was thinking of having it painted and it’s not too far away in cost, plus this is pretty much the colour I’ve been thinking of. The old one fits like a glove and the new ones are the same geo so. Not sure I’d slide this past Liz though. I’m meant to be culling not buying.

Wow what a find! That’s a rapparee, Hand made in Ireland.
The last old school frame builder in Ireland!!
Anymore frame detail pics? What size is it?
-

It lives in Kerry, and belongs to my father in law. I guess it's from the 90s.
Last time I was there I think I saw another Rapparee buried in a pile of bikes. Next time we're over I'll get a few pics.If its the same as his other bikes it will be 54-55ish.
I know it was built in Ireland, do you know any more about Rapparee?

Anyone got a photo of a road fixed with full guards and a basket? Pure commuter?

Apparently Ritchey are working on what sounds like their take on the Big Block.
30c tyres and drilled for brakes.

My SJS from 2017, I got the shit ripped out of me for both those additions.

That's fun! Are fixies becoming popular again?
I'm guessing it will be £1400 for frame and fork though... -
• #2842
There has to be a backlash against the insaine money all-the-gears and all-the-gear electronic a billion braze-ons to ride on a horse track bikes.
I still have a SS, but no fixeh.

You can still build a total baller fixed for less than the cost of a base Crux. People still want to flex.

In the video it sounds like Fergus from Ritchey is leveraging his company clout to build the kind of bike he likes. And bringing it to Made is definitely to gauge interest.

old friend...15th birthday
Does not compute. I've got tyres older than that.

You make me feel young. Yeah maybe it just feels like that for someone as young as I am, after riding the bike in quite a few setups and situations, somewhat different phases of life, in 22 countries and all that.

Wicked bike.

Not my first choice for a basket, but proper functional build.
I keep dreaming of a fixed gear, mudguarded, front disc+dynamo for winter riding and commuting, when I'm not responsible for the kindergarten run.

This is what I want too.
But I realised I had a kona paddy wagon set up road rixed basket and hated it.
Maybe I'm just dreaming off a clean light commuter bike... M
It makes some kind of sense, although I wonder whether the real reason for it isn't just to make the welding easier rather than the "laterally stiff vertically compliant" marketing justification usually applied to that design feature. After all these years it's the signature style of the PreCursa, so they're probably not going to change it now
