Highway Code Rule 201
Do not reverse from a side road into a main road. When using a driveway, reverse in and drive out if you can.There are a lot of people round me that must be really shit drivers if they can't reverse onto their drive.

Yep, aware of that thanks. I'll need to trial it but i can reverse turn into the parking lane without encroaching too much into the road. Visibility is also good. I'd prefer to be nose in for loading which is pretty much all the car is used for these days and we'll likely have a big dog again soon enough.

What could go wrong. I'll be hanging a tennis ball from the garage roof as my nose in guide, i'll then have around 600mm to get out the car but that's if i pin it to the left side. Fine for driving in, less fun on the way out. I use the car infrequently generally early or late so not too worried about getting in or out.
