In fact that was only for one bike. Buying two tickets online only gives you the option to book one bike space 🤷 . So we should have had ANOTHER four card tickets on top of that lot. But in fact there was zero issue chucking another bike in the space, and obviously no-one checked and the barriers were all open anyway.
It's almost as if all the systems, decisions and logistics around bikes on trains in the UK are totally insane.
But in fairness to the various train operators, I've almost never had an issue actually putting a bike on a train, so that is good.
