  • I recall hearing something about cracking titanium around brazeons if there is sloppy back purging of the tube with inert gas. Not sure whether it's true but I did hear it from a frame builder.

  • Why pay so much for a boring bike that looks like every other Ti bike

  • BECAUSE it says Ti on it somewhere. God, I hope it does, I can only imagine my own despair if it doesn't.

  • Cause it’s popular for old peoples who want it to last long enough before they pop it.

  • Damn, there was a similar case recently with a Giant bike.

  • There is always going to be someone trying to sue a bike company.I take it with a pinch of salt ,you never really know the full
    details.

  • Although that doesn't sound good at all.I wonder if maybe that's why planet x is finished.

  • I found some more discussion here: https://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic/anyone-own-a-planet-x-fork/

My tempest is from a similar time, considering whether or not to replace the forks on it... Presumably any recall would have happened by now, and is unlikely now they've changed ownership.

  • Brought my old Kaff home for the night, forgot how much fun it is to ride, and swapped out the bars to some way more sensible than these pictured and fitted bar end plugs.

Half the family reunited as the 456, Pro Carbon, & Pompino are elsewhere. Should get them all together again one day for a full pic.

  • Was thinking of selling newer Kaff as I've been riding the old one more as single speed so could just 1 x 10 it.

Chanced on 11sp sram trigger shifter so swapped the cockpit from drops to shallow riser bar on the newer one to be similar to how the old one is now setup. It feels much nicer to ride now in this setup.

  • Still done nothing with my three inbreds.

Still not done anything to the one frame that I wanted to sell. Not even cleaned the thing.

Also haven't used the lurcher, CF bikes and locking up in London seems a bad idea. Not as if I ever go off reading in years

  • My 531 steel TI Raleigh said "TI" on it somewhere.

  • Is the inbred 26inch wheel and the kaffenback 700c wheel?

  • Yes, both Kaff's are 700c, inbred is 26".

What's the plan with your 3 inbreds?

  • Going from the past. Nothing.

Have a horizontal drop out, track end with gear hanger and bolt on end.

All paint work is shite so was thinking clean the frames and spray/powder coat a candy sparkle red.

Have a 3 speed back pedal braked hub and was going to build that as a town bike with the poor road surface.

Have the verticle framed bike for sale have taken more photos on a digital camera and trying to upload them somewhere but apathy

  • hey ,wondering if anyone can help... what's the max tyre size any of you have managed to fit on a london road? I have the model from not long before they went bust with the sram apex 1.

website seems to say 38mm but I feel like there's room for tyres that are a little bigger.
