• I’d like there to not be as much exposed seatpost and stem, but like you say the workaround whilst not as visually appealing as I would like means I can ride it. Which is the most inportant thing!

    Original fork was bent in a collision with a kid on a trike in battersea park, was brakeless at the time. Collision definitely not my fault, but made the decision to swap to a fork drilled for a brake an easy one.
    Such a joy to ride when you get going, something about the geometry makes you want to go fast, but it is swift to change direction, and lovely to loiter along on, when the suns out as well.. city gear isn’t too spinny, but allows for a decent push once you get rolling..

  • I would scared witless cycling a fixed gear bike brake less…the thought of going down a hill without a brake would terrify me and let’s face it…your legs make a weak brake…if I were to ride fixed again…I would get a 531db path frame with brakes…front and rear…I hope you were ok after the collision?

    Another issue would be the seat post…many years back I had a similar set up…but it caused a problem with my neck…I needed a neural pain killer for a few weeks…pain was similar to sciatica…now bars are a bit higher than my bars but not massively so.

    The saddle is getting there….a few more micro adjustments…I pushed the saddle back a bit as I most comfortable with my backside is nestling on the widest part of the saddle and the aim is be perched there naturally and not pushing back to be perched there.
