  • Dunno if you've seen, but I PM'd you about this.

  • I've wanted one of these for soooooo long. How is it?

  • Can some potato chop my image I posted to show just the stickers on the top part of the frame.

    Thank you

  • Recurring brompton servicing question time, where’s currently the best place to get mine serviced? Think new BB, maybe headset, frame bearingy things.

Ideally Sheffield/Leeds adjacent but happy to post if that’s the best option.

  • I’ve seen it now and replied :D

  • Ride quality improves massively with a suspension upgrade

  • Few of my buddies bought this and have given it rave reviews. My treat myself too one day. Happy with the JK one though.

  • oh and it matches the fireplace which is another good thing

  • Good looking rear on the C!

  • Has anyone tried the boost electric conversion on here yet?

  • Another option for your waterproof bag; I have seen the odd ones around, but not Brompton specific.

    £95 + frame.

    But note from the description:

The material itself is waterproof and wipe-clean, but prolonged
strong rain may penetrate where we sew the seams

  • I've got an UPSO ferrybridge - it's properly waterproof. It's quite a heavy bag and is more useful after modding ortlieb pouch/water bottle holders on the back but is good for rainy commutes.
IMHO old tbags are the best tho, use a rain cover.

  • Looks good, ta. Think that's probably what I would have gone for if buying new. I actually just picked up the second hand borough bag last night though, and it's huge!

  • Anyone have any experience of taking a smallish dog on a Brompton? They would fit in the regular Brompton basket but I would worry about them jumping out! I found a specific Brompton pet carrier but it’s £300 plus shipping from Korea so looking for more reasonable solutions…

  • I saw a post on Bromptons Instagram page a few days ago with a Jack Russell terrier sized dog being happily ferried around in the Brompton shopping basket bag. I think the owner had added a bit of padding around the top and seemed to have a leash attached to a harness but not sure if that was attached to the bike/bag in any way. Possibly depends on the temperament of the dog more than anything!

On the cargo bike thread it seems a mixed bag, some have great success and some less so. All seems to depend if the dog likes the movement of the bike more so than it fitting. Maybe give it a try getting the dog used to the basket, then basket on bike whilst walking around a park and see how it goes?

  • The standard basket will be fine. Dogs aren’t stupid and seem to enjoy being on the bike - I’ve never had a problem with them wanting to jump out. And you can always tie the lead to the handle.

My 5 kg dog has done hundreds of miles in a foam-reinforced S Bag:

  • Both my stupid dogs tried to jump out of my bag, because they're stupid.

  • Awh that is a very good dog.

@C4r1s I might see if I can just find a suitable harness for in-basket travel and get the little guy used to the idea early on…

  • No troubles to report. Start slowly and build the confidence one ride after another :)

    Here's my successful attempt

Also, put some proper padding between the pup and the basket's metal frame. Be sure to keep it comfortable above all!

  • G Line spotted on carousell.sg. To be 'officially launched some time in October' apparently...

  • Another very good dog, 12/10.

    Good tip on the padding!

  • Wow that’s a heavy folding bike.

  • Potentially balanced by a significantly lightened wallet based on those prices, £2600+

  • Maybe in pound coins!
