I’ve got this bait spinning reel for sale. Bought from new by myself in Japan. Recently rebuilt and works great with no issues. They go for solid money in Japan and the collector market. Looking £50 plus post. Thanks. T

Is that lobster and spider crabs? How did you catch them?

Today I caught a cracking net of quality roach, rudd and perch on the pole. The 13 year old match angler me (Lee Green Working Mens Club) would have had a kitten!

And last Thursday I had a fiasco.
There's rarely anyone else on the syndicate lake midweek, which is great, 50 acres to myself. That is until you catch something you would like a picture of. So I bought a £6 phone holder from fleabay which screws into a bankstick and set the timer at the maximum 10 seconds. This is when I found out that 10 seconds isn't very long when faced with an uncooperative carp and a spinal injury. 7 takes later... I look like Uncle Fester on a bad day (which is unpleasantly true to life), but at least the carp looks good.
I have now downloaded a voice activated camera app which allows a 5 second delay!

Guide sorted them out!
Pike came and sat about 6ft off the bank, right infront of us, a little 16” long jack, and just watched us for a good 5 minutes. We could have just scooped it up in the net but decided that would be unsporting. 2 hours of spinning later and not a nibble but a happy child that wants to go yet again. Shame that school starts next week. We’ve spent hours out there and she’s landed more fish in a few weeks than I ever did as a kid.
