Dredge.
So with yesterday's rain after a prolonged hot spell I've had to dig out a blue inhaler which I've not needed for 3 years. It's a year past its expiry date which leads me to the regular moan of having to bother a doctor to write me a prescription so I can pay nearly a tenner for something that costs less than a couple quid. -

Has anyone else found the last few days dreadful for asthma because of the very high pollen count?
It hasn’t really bothered me at all in the last few months but every time I’ve ridden this week it’s been absolute murder.

I'm giving this thread a bump as I'm asthmatic and I try to manage my symptoms as best I can without too much medication (of course I do carry an inhaler just in case). I'm aware of what triggers my asthma and try to avoid them as much as possible, like dust mites, poor diet (like too much sugar and beer).
Lately I got interested in herbal medicines especially herbal teas and I feel like the blend I've been using has been keeping my symptoms away.
I've been blending different ingredients which have a history of being used traditionally and have scientific evidence, like Thyme, Peppermint, Marshmallow Root, Mullein and some others.
Has anyone else tried anything like this? -

Do you have a recepe? Never ever heard of Marshmallow Root.
Also do you have a way of handling dust mites?
Since getting a lung thing a few years ago I have asthma again. When I was in the Formentera (in the med next to Ibiza) I didn't use my inhaler once, despite doing excesse.
As soon as I walked through our front door at home my asthma kicked off again and now I'm back to using it daily as a preventative.

Regarding the dust mites, I changed our pillows to latex ones, I have hardwood floors and generally try to clean and dust regularly. Also along the herbal medicine route I’ve been making an effort to add some foods into my diet which are said to have natural antihistamine in them like nigella seeds and nettles.

PM me and I’ll post you some tea if you want to try it.

I’m thinking about trying to sell some of these teas as a little side business.
I’m really into using natural remedies and I’m enjoying the process of researching herbs and plants and trying to improve my wellbeing. I’d like to offer them to others so I’m thinking about starting a shopify store or something.
Before I go ahead with this I’d also like some feedback from people who are not my friends or family.
Would anyone on here like a little sample bag of herbal tea that I’ve blended for my own asthma relief? I’m happy sending you something for free and I’d love some feedback (hopefully positive) about the effectiveness and the flavour of the tea.
I’ll also give you the list of ingredients so that you can research yourself the benefits and be comfortable trying them yourself, but there’s nothing weird in it.
Drop me a PM if you’re interested.
very true!
