I can understand on the basis that he's a Southampton fan, but it's way too early in his career to be dropping his level.

He’s in the premier league. “Level” doesn’t really matter right now. Pickford has (rightly) been the England no1 though a period where Everton have been one of the worst teams in the league. What Ramsdale needs is game time, if he gets enough of that then he’ll get a move elsewhere should Southampton go down and improve his chances of being England’s first choice keeper. If he helps keep his boyhood club up then I can also see the appeal. Interesting to see how he does without Arsenal’s defence in front of him.
