26mm clamp. Got a couple of stems that’ll work with them as well though.

Got the new bb in. Was hoping for better chainline tbh but I think it’ll be ok. Swapped that saggy af flite out for something nearly as bad that I had lying around.

Getting there. Any thoughts on this stem? I like the feel of the bars but can’t fit a quill around them.

I love a Rossin! I took mine in a bit of a weird direction recently and our projects share a few similarities. what is the situation with the quill and the bars? have you gone all in with the brute strength approach?

oo very nice. you went the classic route, I like it a lot. Ritchey cranks to match the tubeset too.. I ended up going down my well trodden path of V brakes and 1x10 with a clutch mech. seems a shame in some ways, but also great off road (even despite the tyres). Now with flite and black pedals.

Finished the Rossin for the time being and took it out in the winter sun, finally. Jeez they rode fast in the 90s didn’t they. I barely used the big ring once and I wasn’t even going up hill. Maybe I need to take up smoking and drinking on rides like they used to.

My friend’s response to seeing the latest version of the Trek 950 was ‘holy cockpit Batman’, ha. I did half the Pyrenees on it recently, where it’s stayed to live out the rest of its days as a mountain bike. Everyone is right though, the mid bar ends are ghastly looking. great to have other hand positions though.

Had a massive grin on my face getting (most of) all my bikes out at the same time recently. Miraculously didn’t get a single mechanical. Too embarrassed to line them all up for a good photo. What a missed opportunity :(
