Wouldn't it be nicer to train out, ~30 mile loop in the countryside then train back? The various acronym night rides (WNKR or whatever they are/were) are really good for this, they all have good train access and then ~30-35 mile routes drawn in nice lanes. Have followed a few and always thoroughly enjoyed, so props to whoever puts them together.

You're south east aren't you? The blast back in to town along Skid Hill Lane / Layhams Road in to West Wickham is always fun.
I have no idea if this will share correctly but something like this would be a nice loop, you could adapt it to be one way and tack on some bits to get there from which every station you opt for.
Does anyone have a "nice" route from Haywards Heath back to South London? Or anywhere about 30 miles away and easily accessible by train. I've been given a free pass from parenting this Saturday to go for a longer ride. Just getting back into road riding so out and back is unlikely to be enjoyable. I fancy getting a train out and riding back from somewhere.
