Probably difficult to google. What's that to a forrin?

  • Okay, had no idea if it was human food or cat food.

  • We’ve since erected a fence and gates across our driveway (and made it into a front garden), but one night we were sat watching TV and Winifred was sat in the bay window on fox watch.

A couple walked up to the window to say hello to her, and were shocked to find two other humans sitting inside the house.

“What the fuck, mate?” Seemed to get the message across.

    People are fucking weird.

  • What to do with many out of date flea treatments?

Is it a case of dropping off at the chemist to dispose of?

  • Mr Fwuff came back this morning after disappearing for two nights... Assuming he was locked in somebody's garage. Hopefully he's learnt his lesson...

  • Messenger shift yesterday :) he/she crossed the street to be petted, always a very happy moment (and quite rare when riding around on this particular bike with a rattling box lid, most of the time cats flee immediately when I come into their street!)

  • 🙂

I love petting random cats in the streets as well.. though this is quite a rare thing here in Berlin (most owners keep their cats indoors, which is understandable) 💁

  • Yeah that's a dilemma... I love petting cats in the street but we keep ours indoors to keep her from killing local wildlife :-/

  • Hey cat friends. We have had two lovely kittens move in to our house after saying goodbye to the GOAT Lily a few months back.

The kittens are great, loads of fun. The only issue have had is that one (maybe both) are peeing on our bed/duvet. They've been with us for two weeks and I think its happened about 5 times. We've thoroughly washed all the bedding - which is a fucking pain in the arse - but it hasn't solved the issue but today one of them took another piddle.. They sleep on my daughters bed, no problems, then come in to our room, pee on us then go on their merry way.

I've tweaked the litter tray setup, their trays are in a very private, quiet room. I can't really figure out what to do! We've changed the duvet to another just incase they can still smell the remnants of their previous present. And, constantly washing duvets and waking up with cat piss on your jammies is less that ideal.

  • Hey everyone,

We had to say goodbye to our cat recently and we have a bunch of food stuffs left over.

Our cat suffered from IBD so was on a very restrictive diet. I’d wouldn’t recommend feeding this to a cat who doesn’t have IBD.

I’ve got the following in varying amounts:

    Dechra FOW-HY wet food
    Royal Canin Anallergenic dry food
    Cobalaplex powdered tablets
    Fortiflora sachets

More than happy to give this away to someone if their cat needs it, I’m in Glasgow so would just ask that you cover postage.

  • We had this too. Bill loves a good poo on the bed. The only solution was to lock them out of the bedroom. It seemed to correlate with us scolding him for other things or us going away and leaving him with someone else, and wasn't related to the condition of the litter tray.

He seems to have grown out of it (6-9 months) but did again when we were on holiday so who knows. He doesn't do it when we're around.

Sorry to not be more help than to say lock the bedroom door.

  • I did see someone say that cats don't wee where they are playing so play with them on the bed, put their toys up there.

  • It seemed to correlate with us scolding him for other things or us going away and leaving him with someone else

I read somewhere that cats poo in the wrong place when the owner goes away. They seem to have a very complex relationship with peeing and pooing. Mine is at her happiest when I'm on the loo and she's sitting at my feet. She purrs like crazy.

  • Yep bedroom door closed at night and throughout the day now. Will see how it goes. I did add an extra litter tray next to the other and they seem to have gravitated to that now too. Its bigger and without a lid (although we left lids off theirs for a few weeks and peeing on bed was still a thing)

I'd almost be ok with the odd stealth poo, the peeing just goes right through everything. I've never washed so many duvets in my adult life than I have in the last 4 weeks.

    --

Was reading that cats never pee where they eat as well. So I might try some dry treats on the bed once I know they had a piddle in the right place

Yeah, all three of ours love to hang out with me when I'm on the dunny, especially the one who never sits on my lap.

  • He's Totally Wired...

  • Is that a guarding thing?

  • Is that the cat equivalent of an asbo bracelet on their collar? Gods what did they do?

  • Repeated the same story...

  • Nah I don't think so, he likes to just hang out with us. Never gets on our laps, but he'll tag along around the house most of the day.

  • Cats are weird.

Currently cat sitting a cat that joins you in the toilet, as she wants to drink a mix of hot and cold water from the bathroom sink. We call it kiity cocktail.

  • Ha ha ha. Well kind of. It's a Tractive GPS collar which we got him when he disappeared for a day and had to go looking for him, he'd come back into the wrong part of the neighbourhood and was hiding in someone's garden covered in mud, soaking wet and terrified. So now he can't be trusted outside without it 😜
