Thats pad printing, transferring ink from an etched block to the article.
Known in industry as Tampo Print.
We used to print the Scalextrix slot car bodies using this method.*
We developed different pad shapes, curved, 2 piece different hardness silicone to ensure the print did not become distorted when applying to a curved surface.
Print alignment when printing multi-colour was always a challenge.
In a later life, printed conductive inks onto a flexible substrate to make elements for heated car mirrors.

That's clever, how the pad deposits the colour without picking up what's already there !

I’ve had that recently with a Smiths Prs29a that got knocked in transport. Took it to a local watchmaker, he said the watch has been dropped and some spring got stuck somewhere, took him 3 minutes and £9.50 later the watch is running better than before.
I’d send the Nomos back.

This is not really in my wheelhouse but interesting and seems like a bit of a bargain (relative)

Don't tend to like red on watches but it looks pretty good here.

Picked up a Casio A1100 from Creation last week now the price has dropped to £75 delivered. I love a cheap quartz but hate the resin cases they usually come with, so this really tweaks my bum. Not such a fan of the original bracelet, it's a bit thin and unfinished and sharp (still very pretty for the price) so chucked it on a mesh and I think it looks a lot nicer. Recommended at this price.

Good choice. Paid rrp for mine but still feel it's been worth it. Been wearing it almost daily for a year now. Solid little watch.

Anyone can recommend an inexpensive (i.e. <20) retailer for leather straps? The watch it's going on is not fancy, just needs a new (~approx 10mm) strap, and wondering if there were decent places to get them or if I should just try to find something on eBay.

I was inspired to get mine from your pics - it looks so great on that leather strap. Nicely done.

See if he can hook you up. These will sell out in minute despite the price. They may not be for everyone and they're not trying to be but I think what he's doing is cool

£65k for the pair. Lol.
Doesn't look very balanced with those skinny hands.
