Go down to the local garage, ask nicely to use their vice and bring a couple of beers.
I however do not endorse the cog in a vice method.
I have a Unior chain whip which at 350mm gives additional leverage to remove even the toughest ones.
Failing that, the Brompton seatpost cheater bar for even more leverage.
