1kg per canister seems sus.
The ES pictures show "big canisters", many say FastGas on the side.
https://fast-gas.com/product/fastgas-original-nitrous-oxide-cylinder/ says it weighs 1.9kg and contains 670 grams of gas so about 1kg for the empty cylinder?

Takes me back to arriving at rapha hq on Monday morning and seeing a load of canisters piled up and being surprised there had been so many punctures over the weekend. (there was a club round the corner).
Rarely felt so middle aged. -

I never see the small ones in the street anymore, just those big ones.
-

Small ones are really hard to get now. You could walk in to quite a few catering places to get the chargers and pay cash. But nower days the larger tanks are easier to get and cost a lot less.

Possession of laughing gas with the intent of getting high was made illegal last November
On what basis? The legal system is supposed to be a buzzkill?

Nitrous oxide is considered bad for its climate change properties - you'll see it used less and less in the medical sector these days

It’s not great for your spinal cord either.

Especially if you fall the fuck over having deprived your brain of oxygen.
Legalise it: Darwin awards are funnier with it freely available.

After reading that I feel conflicted.
Part of their appeal was that we were inundated with cheesy boy band music. Proper rockstars smashing lines, fighting and trashing rooms felt like a breath of fresh air.
Now as a removed adult I can sympathise with those pre-minimum wage hotel staff having to tidy up after them. But isn't that also a bit like asking why cant RATM be more positive and collaborative in their message? Or noting Tony Soprano should have applied his acumen to implementing meaningful change in the waste management industry for the benefit of New Jersey's recycling.
Sometimes that's just not what you want.

I often think this, but the banality of these three news stories sitting together hit home. There is a problem with men, right?

Apparently there are "up to 4 million perpetrators of violence against women and children, who are mainly men, with one in 10 people being victims, who are mainly women or children."
-
• #89793
These numbers are horrifying. Yet there is little serious discussion of this. The vast majority on here are men. What can we do? Time for a serious feminism thread.

Not with a universal care system.

Violence against women by men is an issue that gets a lot of media attention in Australia. Not sure it's having much effect yet, women are still dying every day.

Devils advocate say what is the definition of violence, as domestic violence wasn't recorded unless there were charges pressed.
More is, in the trend of are we getting more violent.
-

I think at least a part of the trans panic is to avoid having to confront the actual source of danger to women.

Another thing I have mixed thoughts on.
