Normal butyl tubes.

I find it pretty funny that people watch Dylan Whatsit videos and install latex tubes for a few watts are also riding around on the tops with FTPs in the 200s in flannel shirts with handlebar bags and danglemugs.

That's a good point. Maybe its a hangover from being at the pointy end.

I use latex tubes when I'm racing. That's it. There's no reason to use them for anything else and anyone who tells you some bullshit about the "tyres feel better" or "I can feel the lower Crr" or whatever needs to get laid and get a grip on reality.
