The kitchen thread does seem to be an appropriate place to talk about kitchen work, no?
Ours is now being used. Broken pipe fitting swapped out so no leaking sink. Hotplate and new extractor working so the month-long takeaway run is done.
Just need to get rid of the excess kitchen top and paint/cover some tiles under the window.
