  • It really is down to taste, fuzz can mean one thing to one person and something entirely different to the next! Even the same fuzz in different hands and played on another guitar will be totally unrecognisable.

    I'd say make sure you've got tons of fuzz on tap, it's frustrating (for me!) when you run out of gain. Some form of tone control is good, mids and highs are where the crispiness is at. I like to run a hot amp with fuzz, clean guitar will get you a very different sound. But it's all subjective, init!

    Go to a shop and try a whole load out.
