Bit more than that. Unfortunately lots have no idea but they can do spreadsheets

And like with any profession, the better you are at it the easier you make it look...

Meh, PMs are email forwarding and once drew a Gantt chart.

Anyway, plumbers are now on my list. You have one job - joining pipes - why is the new sink leaking?
The bus stop arrangement in Ealing now. Seriously, which fucking project manager organised that shitshow?
Trains that don't run late enough in London's Famous London on weeknights.

Whining about trains not running late enough in engerrrrland is a niche irritation 😉

You can go pleasure yourself with a Gantt chart.
-
• #83
Or the more you can bullshit and blame people...yet produce pretty charts.

When we did our kitchen extension we managed.

- Superfluous threads that are essential covered by others. Why not just lean into the hyperbole of the I hate thread?

It's London man. One of the supposed world capitals. City never sleeps bullshit.

In Oz I used to write code to create them for project management software.

This forum has suffered with the lack of merge.
£1 please.

essential covered by others
It's annoying.

• #90
But did you really? How could you cope with out getting a1 printed pie chart, bar graphs and Gantt chart out at a candle lit supper and then discuss the increase in value of your house.
-

You wrote the code that the clueless told you to. Project manager a software thing where I could never talk to the code monkey to see what they could do just the sales people that promised everything.

I meant we “managed” as in we scraped through. I ordered stuff, arranged for people to come, those people came and used it. We ended up with a kitchen diner. I only forget to order 1 window and that took a while to sort.

Someone posted a link recently (I think in the I hate thread) to a browser extension that removes this if you read in browser, I expect if you search kiwi browser it should come up
-
• #94
The web page through browser still works. Which is what makes the whole thing so dumb, they're just driving traffic from their app to their website. Pointless.
-
• #95
You also used to be able to clear cache for the app and it would reset it but think they disabled it
The browser extension mentioned removes the majority of news site paywalls as more and more seem to be clamping down on basic work arounds
-
• #96
I normally leave immediately if stuff is paywalled. If I really want to view it, presumably because someone told me to read it, then I'll ask them to provide the text. I ain't got time for workarounds.

Why not just lean into the hyperbole of the I hate thread?
Many reasons. Mainly because I’m trying to rein in my own venting, and figured a less hyperbolic thread might be interesting.
Words become thoughts, thoughts become beliefs, beliefs become actions. Or something. 😁

Campagnolo stuff
That's what planners do not PMs.
