I'm off to a camping event in just over a fortnight and because it's in an open field, my usual tarp and bivvy deal isn't really so handy. On that basis I'm looking for a tent that's comfy enough to sleep me and keep all my stuff dry, so not really looking for a super confined 'ultralight' style deal. I will be riding with it a short distance from train station to the campsite so can't weigh half a ton and be the size of a bean bag when disassembled please.
Doing some research I am pretty sure I need a 2 part tent, not a single layer one, in order to be protected from properly inclement weather in open ground and keep all my gubbins and bits properly dry.
Do let me know if you have something you're not desperate to keep hold of I could take off your hands. My budget tops out at about £60, can collect by bike, I'm based in n22 but work in waterloo and burgess park most days.
