Kona Hahanna or similar

  • Steel, to fit 1 1/8 forks, fit a rider about 5"8, if converted to disc even better. Always liked the green Kona Hahanna but open to options that fit the bill. Happy for frame/fork or full, but on a budget

  • Minty cove handjob? Early version - Nemo steel (disc and v)

  • cove handjob Like the look of that, but know nothing about it. Do you have any more info?

  • Does this have bosses to run with guards and racks?

  • It’s a lightweight hardtail from 2002 . Handmade in Canada. No rack or guard mounts though. More sporty than practical

  • Maybe in green too.

Need to check the frame is compatible for disc brakes

  • ask for a hahanna and get offered a handjob - this is a huge upgrade imo, the coves were fantastic bikes, seller maybe too modest to point this out. don’t know what years you are thinking of but, for me, the classic green kona is the 94(?) lava dome, also loads nicer than the H of that year. ps, no offence meant if haha ba is just what you desire 😀

  • I like the Hahanna mostly because my daughter's name is Hanna and it's green. A green lava dome as well would do the job.
Really like the handjob, but also need racks as this will be a shopping and out with the family rig

  • Colour me interested

  • Will sort out looking at the frame as I can't remember if the frame was both canti and disc or Just canti

  • Assuming canti bosses mean I can run v-brakes?

  • Yes, it has v brakes on it now avid I think

  • There's a decent looking full build here £250 Obo in Horsham though and collection only and older but Joe Murray era in Blue

It's a shame you don't have a son called Bob I've just given away a Marin Bobcat trail

  • Guess there aren't any good retro MTB named Konstantyn? :D That looks good, but was hoping to have one that can take 1 1/8 forks

  • I think Konas steel frames went up to 1 1/8 in 97 and the green one was 99.
Konstantyn 🤔 Kona Stinky and a sharpie ?
Retro but not good retro frame though

  • I think it was way earlier than 97 - I have a 1994 fire mountain with threaded 1-1/8” & I think they all were that year

  • the 96 lava dome is green and has 1-1/8
I've got one partially stripped down in my shed waiting to be rebuilt.
    not for sale though, sorry!

  • If you ever change your mind...

  • There's a nice one in the classifieds here that has been converted to disc but a little out of my budget

  • My memory as rusty as my knees. I assumed all the threaded velocity stems were 1in then they went 1 1/8 when they went threadless in 97

Just realized they used 1 1/8th quill stems inbetween and that transition period was longer than I remember
