Can't do it in the app.
The ignore button seems to be hidden on mobile web, but appears on desktop

Once upon a time I seem to have decided that I'm not allowed to ignore things.

Sorry this forum is on ignore so I hadn't spotted the notification. Dropped by to say the subforum has disappeared, much obliged!
EDIT:
And I can still navigate other forums just fine, I just need to get into them via a private browser window to get the link. -

Something changed recently on iOS that means that whenever I open a page, it moves the cursor to the page number box and opens the keyboard, which is something I actually do intentionally precisely never.

It's something to do with saved passwords

Aaah… it’s Microsoft Authenticator. Thanks!

Has there been a change in the way ignored posters are handled? Before, threads would show as updated if someone on the ignore list was the last to post, and show that they were the last to post. Now, the whole thread seems to disappear from the 'following' list until someone else posts. It would be best if ignored poster-updated threads showed as un-updated but didn't disappear. No idea if that's possible or easy to do, though.

No change at all to that.

Has there been a change
No, it has always done that. To me it does both things, showing the ignored user the first time I load the updates page and then having the thread vanish the second time until an unignored user posts something.

Ah, thanks, I'd never clocked that. I only just noticed that a thread I wanted had disappeared.

I want to start using the following tab.
2 questions:
Is there a way to turn off the thing that automatically means you follow a thread when you post in it? FEEDBACK - I think this probably makes most peoples following tabs redundant as ultimately you end up with too many.
Is there a way to stop following all threads I’m following without going into each individual one? (I want to clean it up - start fresh).
Thanks

Counter point.
Please don't turn that off.
It's fundamental to how I use the forum.

I exclusively use my following tab ninety percent of the time.
Given that I have been on here for nearly 20 years and rarely unfollow anything, it certainly isn't a redundant page.

Likewise. The option that greeno wants could probably exist (no idea how hard it would be to implement), but I prefer the auto-following when posting, too.

I prefer the auto-following when posting
While TTF is in every possible way a steaming pile of shite, it does offer "Content I posted in" and "Content I follow" as options.

Yeah, pretty exclusively use following, want it to stay as is, it has pages though and the newest stuff is first so it can't really get too big. A few days away and I'll have to go back a couple of pages to catch up, anything further I consider an archive of shit I've followed or posted in in the past.

It is lovely to have a forum dedicated to True Type fonts.

It would be cool if we could "star" or "favourite" things, and only get notifications from those things. I had to turn update notifications off because it was too much noise, but then I miss stuff in threads that I'm really interested in (for a little while at least).

Have you not just got pretty much everything on your following tab now?!
Given that I have been on here for nearly 20 years and rarely unfollow anything, it certainly isn't a redundant page.
That’s my point! You may as well just use the today page.
Mine is 19 pages of topics so I can’t actually fix it now cos it takes so long to unfollow one by one.
I just want a space where I can go in and see if there’s updates in 3 or 4 threads without being distracted by anything else.

Anyway I wasn’t suggesting a change. I was just hoping that I, as a user, could change my own settings so things didn’t automatically get added to my own following page.
-
• #7748
Yeah, but it's only one page of it at a time, all the new stuff is at the top and anything with a new comment is marked as new. The 41 pages I have are fine because I only ever look at the first one 95% of the time, and the next couple if I've been off grid for a little while, when I just go back to the oldest one with a new post and work my way up sat on the toilet at lunch.

I don't follow many full forums, mostly just threads, I guess it could look like the today page if you're following the whole of the for sale section, but just don't do that.

Velocio, have you pushed any changes to the site today? My Dark Reader extension (firefox) has stopped working, only on lfgss.
Excelente! 👌🏼
