I love mine, though I have the ripple sole. I would guess it is replaceable.
They're really comfy. Super long lasting. I think I got mine in 2015and still going strong.

Yeah the ripple sole is what I was looking at.
These are reduced just now

Fracap on sale at END also...

Nice. good price too. They are not far off mine - mine are a darker colour and sole.
Honestly love them, they do well with a bit of care and leather cream. Will see you right through winter as well.

Ah, ok. I was looking at 9s, so more choice.

Ordered a pair to try. I'm now thinking I maybe should have sized up

Got a redwing for £89 at John Lewis Westfield White city. There was a size 11 in display, not sure if any other sizes or other john lewis sites running the same clearance. For the price, i thought i’d share

In general, are brouges still cool? I remember we were all super excited about them about 10 years ago.

Nothing is cool anymore. Even the word cool.

I love my Trickers Brouge boots. They do not however love my feet.

Need to replace my Redwings Blacksmith boots, which I managed to ruin, before winter. They always rubbed my little toe a bit, not enough to motivate me to do anything about it, fit was decent otherwise, could probably size up to an 8.5 but not sure if that'd really help. Assuming the moc-toe is a bit softer?
Also are Vibram soles deadly in the wet? I'd ruled them out previously as they'd show up drivetrain grime from cycling but new bike will probably be belt drive so that may be less of a problem.
@EB did you manage to try the Fracaps yet?

Redwing's Traction Tred is great on wet pavement/road in my experience, not great on wet grass or mud.

I did, too small, sent them back. I think I'd need a half size up but only a full size (11) available on sale

They look better than plastic jogging pumps that people try to buy for 10x the actual manufactures cost when they ‘drop’

If you wear them with the right outfit, sure, they are a timeless classic. Are there boots that I'd buy before a pair of brogues for versatility? Sure. But a classic is a classic, regardless.

You need to be a lot more specific about which Vibram sole, there's a full range of durometers out there, from soft and grippy that wear quickly to hard and slippery that wear like iron.

Cristy then.
The Chinese jobbie's shape is actually very close to ideal. Assuming the quality isn't shite.
