I’ve done a sram automatix with a coaster brake. Worked ok. Ben at kinetics has done an S2C and reinforced the chain tensioner. I wonder if an aftermarket alloy one would be stiffer than the plastic one so may help?

Coaster brake on a SS Brompton? The chain tensioner only takes up the slack for the fold so should be doable? Maybe?
I did it for a while on one of mine. Top run of chain sags a little when you brake but it never came off for me.
