Though that a machete need a larger angle somewhere around 25, remember reading that and then never sharpening the blades as I ended up using a circular saw.

It has two 15 degree edges, so it's really 30. My mistake. I've never answered this question before. It's an old folding RAF survival machete, badly chipped as if used to chop wire.

Just talking, as I thought you sharpen each edge to 30. Have only ever read that on line so that is my source.
