Running shorts are always about 25-30mm shorter than cycling bibs. My cycling tan line on my legs is quite sharp so I end up with a hairy white stripe on show when I put my running shorts on.

People here generally used to like bikes when young, some maybe even still do, and now they've got rich and need to prove their success in the different circles they're moving in. But that's not easy validation to get, so it's still very important for their brittle little egos that everyone they used to know is aware of their discretionary spending power - hence, cringey boasting on here, usually Porsche-related, read into that what you will.

They're the types who would turn up at a school reunion in a rented Bentley passing it off as their own. Or in their own Bentley because they think that shows what they've amounted to. Or would just go to a school reunion.

This happened to me up Charing Cross road once but when I reached the top there was a flatbed lorry stacked with freshly sawn pine, which nicely flushed it all away.

Given there’s a thread about knives on a London based forum, a thread about airplanes and fighter jets, a whole forum about current projects and the spending that involves, a couple of snide threads about golf clubs, moaning about a car thread seems weird.

I used to frequent a hotrod forum, on which I started a bike thread. After a load of vitriol there was an unexpected crossover. Mostly MTB, still enough to keep the thread alive for a couple of years.

Just view it as a lifestyle forum with the occasional annoying bike thread.
