How or why do people see him like that as he is not. Or are we the only ones that see this and why is that?

Too many people blame their lot on ‘others’ and a dishonest populist like Farage (although aren’t all populists dishonest?) is happy to seize/monetise that. Add in that he’s a lifelong racist and has a skill to dog whistle doesn’t harm either.
But he always ends up betraying those close to him - Ben Habib the latest, Tice was demoted casually etc - and there’s a stream of people who think “he won’t do that to me”.
TL;Dr I have no idea

Yep, this is the declared stuff, the dark money that Lord Faw-Faw attracts is doubtless why Coutts wanted rid of him even if they were ham fisted about him.
And still there are too many who see him as salt if the earth/man of the people…
