Ideally you want a Bulldozer broom, but with some kind of multi-handle.
Not sure if there’s a stick that wouldn’t require making yourself. Using a crutch or something alu and clicky would work well.
I’m herding a 6yr old plus pads, and don’t have the free hands to be carrying a broom and squeegee down everyday, plus we’re not there early enough for when it’s really required, hence the thought of making it a communal broom, and leaving it there.
Fair points well made. I would trade in the child for a broom, but you may have to put cash up to make it worth it to whoever trades you the broom.
