these look great, I've never used but I assume it eliminates creating an airlock?

What car is it? Looked and 6 pot BMW.
Is it a viscous fan on the radiator?
The kits try to remove air by being the highest point in the vehicle cooling system so air gravitates to the highest points (static head¿), but depends on the vehicle.
Does the interior just blow cold? Does it have air con? Does the air con work?

Yes n52b engine 2497cc. No idea about the fan type I’m afraid. I imported the car from Singapore if that matters but it’s never overheated.
Yes, it never warms up. I’ve not tested the aircon properly but from memory it’s not particularly cold

Are you in the UK?

Yes. Car is European spec from using RealOEM

These help with preventing air locks when filling but also you're supposed to run the car with the rad cap off, the heater on and set to hot, and the bleed funnel attached and when the thermostat opens it'll start burping the system

Thanks. I think I'll try the automatic bleed system, fuses and maybe heater control valve. Is it unlikely to be the thermostat if the gauge is working?

Just a thought, my Alfa only blows hot air from the windscreen vents, as the flaps behind the dash are knackered so it never gets routed to the dash vents no matter what you set the controls at. Maybe worth checking?

Depending how easy the bits are accessable......

I ask as some countries have different specs and ford ran different cooling systems/air con for certain hotter countries.
So the options are thermostat, are there multiple thermostats eg Jag X type/ Mondeo has a seperate themo for the oil/water cooler. As for temp guage in the car, no idea where the info is coming from as there will be multiple temp sensors for different bits. Using Jag/ford sensor in the head gave the temp guage in the car, while had two different temp sensor in the radiator controlling the cooling fans and one in the rad of the Aircon seperate to the Aircon system that could have an effect on the interior blower.
Remember there was also another temp sensor that was in the water to exhaust which was there for catalytic dpf stuff.
DM me a number and we can generically go through checks.

BMW E91 replacement head units... Worth doing? I'd like Android Auto/better navigation, better mapping, Bluetooth music etc. Is there a 'go to' replacement? Any install vids/tips?
Edit: should note, I don't NEED this, but just want something to tinker with...

Mr 12 Volt. 100% worth doing, you don't want some touchscreen shite. If you're in London drop me a PM and I can put you in touch with a supplier and installer.

Have I mentioned my new car? It has an d stereo and one of those rare in built gps units from 2004 (with remote control). Where is a good place to ask about upgrading so I can listen to Taylor swift, frank ocean, Tyler the creator, and other music people I don’t really like?

Get the bus? You can hear everybody else’s music on there.

I started removing a knackered water pump from my audi 80 about 6 weeks ago, then broke my hand, tomorrow my good lady has given me a hall pass to finish the job.
Can’t wait for all the swearing, sweating and copious amounts of coffee.

I’m not sure I want to do this.

That’s it the Hot Rod and all the spares have gone, which left me thinking of the fun that was had. A highlight was this, by the time I’d got home the rain was settling snow and I was blue and couldn’t feel my face, hands, feet… happy days.
