Have you tried a 24mm post? 0.2mm difference is pretty small and those old Peugeots usually have a seat tube with a tapered seat clamp, so you only need it to fit in the clamp section rather than the whole tube. They’re not exactly precision made. It might easily slot in. And if not you could turn it down on a lathe easily or sand it down yourself with little issue.
Bike seat + post got stolen recently and turns out post I need is quite rare… have Peugeot road bike from probs 80s (at a guess). Been to quite a few bike shops and online and found nothing. Looking on forums, suggestions seem to be to get a smaller one and a shim or a larger one and file down.
If anyone has any tip offs as to where I could try a source a 23.8mm or thoughts on what the best workaround if I can’t find one might be that would be appreciated.
