multi function
I did try to see it, by trimming and pruning with the serration after digging a bit, as well as planting a couple herbs in pots to a depth.
The size is somewhere between unwieldy-large and too small, but maybe I’m finding excuses to absolve my freebie-guilt (after being a little bitch daily for nearly 2 weeks, from the parcel debacle).

Where I've found it most useful is weeding.
I forget what they're called but we have these wild/selfseeding plants with buttercup like flowers. Since planting up the front garden I don't really want them - or just a few maybe rather than being everywhere.
The hori is probably better than any other tool. My long hoe is less effort for a long period if there isn't much else in the way, but I have a lot of irises, so it's tricky. Plus it's a big with a specific home.
So I think it's that plus being able to use it as an excellent planting trowel which is what makes it attractive.
However, I will say that the Japeto/Ali lux hori feels better in the hand with gloves.
Once the multi function value of the knife blade edge and serated saw edge kick in the perceived value skyrockets.
Kinda hope they don't un-refund you so it remains free, the admin costs will more than exceed the total for them I reckon!
