oh thanks, that looks great! Did you find it quite thick? from powder coat finishes I've had previously I would only think it was suitable for one layer, as it was very thick, especially around detials like the rack and guard braze ons. Also I don't know how good it would be for doing stencils with (which is my plan)

Top coat applied, waiting for it to dry to peel of the masking,
needed 3 coats to get good coverage

Peeled off the stencils, nice but there was some bleeding due to poor sanding of the primer layer on my part

Decided to add some hand painted elements becuase it felt flat, very pleased with the result. Now off to Vaz for the lacquer!

Built up with a bit of a funny mix of components but it rides like a dream. Probably going to drop the stem 10mm though as it's super upright

Debating if I want to use any more of the fittings. Got a slimline Tubus rear rack but not sure whether to just keep it totally clean for now

It was going so well. There's a lot of things complain about but I'll start with the bars and stem. Shortly followed by the chainset

Hehe you’re not wrong the stem is hideous but it’s the right length. Any suggestions on bars and chainset? Just got these from the parts bin, was thinking of a small sweep. P.s. the saddle is non negotiable unless I find a free cambium

Thinking about getting some on one marys on there

Also some all black rims
Just jumping on this thread to say that I just used Spray.Bike on my build and got a fantastic finish. Just so different from a usual rattle can. It sprays a powder and drys in 10 minutes! It is like a powder coat in a can.
The bike is a 1981 Mercian Olympic by the way...
