Would recommend something you keep and are happy to transport. Not in a possessive way just in a ‘guaranteed to have it when arriving’ way.
Ideally you want a Bulldozer broom, but with some kind of multi-handle.
Not sure if there’s a stick that wouldn’t require making yourself. Using a crutch or something alu and clicky would work well.

I’ve seen a couple on Amazon for like £15, not sure if that’s cheap enough. Plastic and metal with a retractable handle.
Broom and squeegee are the play I think. Outdoor squeegee of a decent size 45cm+ is £15-£25.
