Imagine a Tour de France Hommes sans Zwift where 10 of the stages weren't actually in France.

1992 Tour? Stage finishes in Spain, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg and Italy, and 9 stages either started or finished outside of France.

Yes, to celebrate the EU. Which, if you've read my pamphlet, you will know led directly to Brexit.

It was a good stage today, though.
Only a few more days till Cian Uijtdebroeks is back racing and we can finally start to live again. -

Going to the start, and depending on weather and how I'm feeling I might do somewhere towards the finish. Of course some beers might put paid to all that.

Needs to get sponsors and start towns on board to grow the race. Given the race is passing alongside the borders here, few people (even keen cyclists) seemed to be aware of it coming. It's a building phase I think.

UCI points. Astana desperately need them to avoid relegation, Bettiol has 1600.

i think the points he has already gained stay with EF. i'm sure i read somewhere that he will be sent to lots of late season one day races to pick up lots of points for astana
-
• #51191
But doesn’t that come into play next year? Why the mid-season rush? Why not wait for Vuelta and bondooloo end of season races to finish first?
-
• #51192
Bettiol’s points scored up to yesterday will stay with EF. Points from today onwards go to Astana.

Can’t recall how it is in the men’s peloton but other than national champs, almost every woman in the tour today is wearing a skinsuit. It’s a sprint stage but I don’t recall seeing so many men doing it.

Also how did Tashkent City Women get an invite. Is that the best of the rest? is there some sort of pay to play or a UCI program to get teams from different areas into the race?
They have one rider left.

• #51195
they were the Continental team with the highest number of UCI points in 2023. They secured most of these points in lower-ranked races outside of Europe

Anybody else planning to go and see Pogacar do the Binda?

They’re going to evolve into their final form next season; rock racing.
It was.
Have you decided where you are watching it tomorrow? Got any cheese recommendations for the region?
