I saw the first one in the theatre too. Definitely worth a rewatch; it's an all-time classic. Second one is pretty good too. Third one, not so much
awhile
The future time they go forward to at the end of the first movie was nearly ten years ago...

I think I've stated my love of nectarines before but...
I like a nice proper mature cheddar with a decent apple but I've just tried it with a nectarine. Goodness gracious, I'd never thought of upsetting the apple cart in such a way but it's glorious.

Get on the phone to Paul Whitehouse.
'Cheesey Fruit' might be the prompt he needs. -

Got a lot of things to love at the moment.
My Cafelat Robot, which I love.
Oakley Road Prizm lenses. I don't like modern cycling glasses, but I found some Frogskins with road prizm lenses, and they are wonderful! So good in mixed light etc.
My new low profile bottle cages bolts. Too long have I used normal bolts, and not having them catch bottles is a breath of fresh air!
Talking of bottles, Elite fly bottles. So good. Squishy, no manky lids as easy to take apart the spout. Wonderful, I carry three now!
Hylex hydro brakes. As a long time BB7 defender, I have to admit I've been missing out. These are just terrific to use, loaded or unloaded riding.
Lanshan1 tent. After another short tour, this tent is just perfect. Small, light, easy to pitch, porch, loads of space inside, excellent!
Albion merino tees. I can't praise these highly enough. They are so good, on so many trips I've worn it now for multiple days. Remains comfortable, never gets sticky or anything, never smells, even if you sleep in it. Cracking top.

The thing my neighbours have going on.
John lives 2 doors down from us, he’s a 78 year old now retired barber that had a shop in the city. Next to us the other side is David, he is an 81 year old cyclist. When they both moved into their respective homes within a year of each other in the mid 1980s David went to John’s shop for a hair cut, as they were neighbours John wouldn’t take any payment. So the next day David dropped a ‘nice’ bottle of wine round as a thank you. A while later John asked David to fix something on his bike, he offered to pay him, but no we are neighbours. The next day John took round a bottle of ‘nice’ wine. Yep the same bottle of ‘nice’ wine. Obviously this could have gone one of two ways…
…fast forward 40 odd years and every month or so David takes that same bottle of ‘nice’ wine round to John’s and has his hair cut, a week or so after John takes his bike round for a ‘service’ and brings along that ‘nice’ bottle of wine.
That ‘nice’ bottle of wine is probably only fit for putting on chips now, but it’s getting drunk by whoever survives the other. They both have it listed in their wills now. -

Great story. Not the same but my dad and some of his neighbours have lived on the same street for over 40 years. I'm fairly certain that when they were still working, hated one another. But now they're retired have formed The grAy-Team and most problems are solved using a blow torch, angle grinder and C4.
Genuinely think it helps them all keep going.

That is brilliant. I want to be an old bugger like them. Oh wait...

C4.
The tv channel or the explosive?

Well you can't fix a creaky mail box flap watching Countdown can you.

Cleaning with glue?
-
• #3647
Indeed. Didn’t actually do an awful lot - the problem with this particular 45 is groove wear. The only way glue could fix it would be if I glued a better copy to it.

What’s your favourite adhesive?
-
• #3649
I have young kids though, so have a plentiful supply of washable PVA glue knocking around, which is probably the best thing for it.
I’ve learned the hard way that wood glue doesn’t work :-D

Thanks, did try basic wood glue (Lepages) years ago and was a bitch to remove, though luckily no damage done to the lp.
Back to the Future? I saw the first one in theatres when it came out, it’s been awhile… haven’t seen the second.
