If anyone is interested in a cheap trackday or coming to your first trackday, my mate who runs Formula G has booked out Llandow in S Wales on Saturday 14th September. I unfortunately can't make that date but the people attending are all good people ( @ElGonzo has met some of them at Bedford).
It's a short track so easy to learn it quickly, you can't get too fast on it so no chance of having a high speed crash, it's tight but there's lots of run off where it's needed, and because it's a private trackday you're guaranteed zero dickheads or bullies on track.
I think it's under £150 (which is a bargain these days) and if you're really nice you can even take my MX5 because I'll be busy riding bikes (shock horror)
