Almost a bit harsh, but only almost.
Sometimes I see a classic that looks like owner is more emotionally or technically involved than dropping cash 2 weeks ago, but the adventure mobiles that block the streets are the worst.
The investment insta cars at least live in a garage. -

Found this rotting on a front garden, seems a shame.
Mk2 MR2, not sold on the body kit but growing up in the 90s led to a soft spot for these cars
Run the plates and its not been MOT'd since 2012, and it doesn't look like it is going to get one anytime soon.

I’d forgotten about the ram air type of scoop. Just out of curiosity I wonder if Fensport is still on the go, I’m sure they did Toyota stuff about 20 years ago. Must have a Google ….

Yeah, pretty rubbish.
Some great driving roads (as well as riding obviously) round here too

Still going strong, I had an idle browse for iQ parts the other day, did order the odd MR2 part bitd but seem to remember they were quite expensive.

Fensport are still going. Still doing Toyota and lexus stuff.
Those air intakes limited the cold air getting to the intake, I thought they made great snorkels

Guess who has a car and guess who has a car with an engine warning light on and guess who is on holiday?
Volvo V40 and Norwich if anyone knows any garages / Halfords/kwik fit.
Dealer said they’d sort out the cost of diagnosis etc. it’s just I’m here, and they’re there. Don’t come home until Saturday. All advice etc etc.
It’s hot. Car drives fine. I think maybe the pads and rotors are either still bedding in or are rubbing because there is a rubbing noise when I’m driving!

Amber light?
If so, i personally would wait till Saturday. That's just me though. -

That sucks. Get any local garage to look at the fault code - shouldn't be expensive or time consuming for them to use an ODB2 scanner.
That will tell you if it's a sensor you don't need to care about or if your engine is about to explode.

It is an amber light.
Rang the local Volvo dealer and they said “September is earliest” so I’ll look at local. -
• #79813
What year is it - something like this might give you an indication of what is at fault https://youtu.be/x0MtY1BLbjQ?si=ug8hc0ixfpaKtTO0

04, going to try the vid and then pop to garage

Can you amazon prime an obdb reader to yourself? They're dead easy to use and till let you know if you can just delete it.
For example, I had a catalytic converter efficiently warning that was scheduled to come up every three months but which lit the CEL when it arrived - it was fine to delete it until you wanted to fix it.

If anyone is interested in a cheap trackday or coming to your first trackday, my mate who runs Formula G has booked out Llandow in S Wales on Saturday 14th September. I unfortunately can't make that date but the people attending are all good people ( @ElGonzo has met some of them at Bedford).
It's a short track so easy to learn it quickly, you can't get too fast on it so no chance of having a high speed crash, it's tight but there's lots of run off where it's needed, and because it's a private trackday you're guaranteed zero dickheads or bullies on track.
I think it's under ÂŁ150 (which is a bargain these days) and if you're really nice you can even take my MX5 because I'll be busy riding bikes (shock horror)

To clarify, when I say booked out, he's booked the entire track for the day, so there's no public access, not just that some of my mates have booked spots on a public trackday.
My D-Max went in for a service last week, turns out the tyres are all really worn (30,000+kms) due to a mistake by Isuzu. The alignment parameters weren't changed at the factory for the new model causing increased tyre wear. I'm waiting to hear if I'll get a new set of boots under warranty.
I asked if I could pick something different and pay the difference but was laughed at. Bit silly if you ask me. Servicing guy suggested I drive straight to a tyre place and try and trade them in for something else. 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️
