  • You can replace it with any 18650 Li Ion cell. If you don’t mind a bit of soldering, Samsung Li Ion 18650s are reliable.

  • Hmm, that could be tempting fate.
    There is a seldom used Aldi/Lidl soldering iron in the shed.
    Have removed the outer plastic cover to reveal the manufacturer's claimed capacity was 1800mAh.

  • You can't solder an 18650 unless it comes with tabs or wires pre-attached. Ignoring the dangers of trying, it won't stick unless you use extremely caustic flux.
