My wife wants a sink like that but I'm convinced it'll be a mess.

Wipe it down after you've finished?

I'm really not a fan of sinks like that, the shape is wrong to be able to get your hands into it properly to scoop up water and the tap gets in the way if you are trying to rinse your face. Plus you get water all around it as you say.

I'm not a fan either. I'd like just a normal sink, not on 'show'.

We've only gone for one of those on space. Bathroom is tiny. I'm sure it's less functional than a standard sink but we've got no space.
