    Which won't be fully supported when you have the axle half out of the dropouts. The nuts will precess, the front wheel will fall out, and you'll die. To be fair, you'll also die if you don't carry out your plan, but it will probably take slightly longer.

    Pretty sure that's not being proposed. The lawyer lips are in the way, but the thickness of a spoke won't see the nuts going past them.

    Also, I'm having a hard time picturing how precession could apply in the absence of a load circling around... or were you just being facetious?
